The Halifax Historical Museum is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Halifax area. We have a staff who supervise a large group of wonderful volunteers. All operational aspects of the Museum are overseen by an elected Board of Directors.

Suzanne
Heddy, Director Fayn LeVeille, Administrative Assistant
Suzanne is a third generation Floridian and the last person to be born
while living at the Ponce DeLeon Lighthouse where her father
was one of the last lighthouse keepers.
Previously she was Executive Director of the Cultural Council
of Volusia County, and assisted that board in their role as the
State designated Local Arts Agency. Prior to working for the County,
Suzanne was Vice-President of Special Events and Tourism for the
Daytona Beach/Halifax Area Chamber of Commerce.
Suzanne is a graduate of Seabreeze High School. She also studied
at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Juilliard School of
Music in New York City where she majored in Dance. Suzanne was
Adjunct Professor of Dance at Daytona Beach Community College.
She has owned and operated a film and television production studio
and worked as a Location Manager for national companies. Suzanne
is a founding member of the Greater Daytona Beach chapter of the
Florida Motion Picture and Television Association and the Motor
Racing Heritage Association.
